Tibetan Dzi beads were first created between 2000 and 1000 B.C. No records exist about the process of creating Dzi beads, and it is likely the process depended on oral teachings. Modern Tibetan Dzi beads are created using methods such as sanding, laser etching, and color enhancement. The patterns, textures and colors are permanent. The base stone, agate, is a variety of chalcedony quartz.
- Due to the inherent nature of gemstones, each stone is singular in both color and shading. We have selected stones that truly complement each other, and each pair of earrings is unique.
- Earring Length: ~1.5″
- The antique-silver metal bead caps have been treated with a protective coating to help prolong their shiny finish.
