J. Garcia Red Blue Silver Silk Tie Infinity Scarf
Jerry Garcia was an American musician and painter best remembered as a member of the band the Grateful Dead. In addition to his celebrated musical career, Garcia was a painter whose work is characterized by a playful energy and a palette of intensely bright colors. His work is wonderfully whimsical and abstract, as seen in this stunning scarf featuring a tie from his Landscape collection. This one-of-a-kind infinity scarf has been handcrafted by combining three men’s designer silk ties that truly ‘sing’. As seen in the multiple photos here, the scarf can be adjusted to feature the print that best matches the outfit you are currently wearing. Suitable for casual, office and evening wear, this striking scarf will add a bold splash of color to any ensemble.
••• THE PROCESS •••
All stitching, including the delicate inner lining, is meticulously removed from the original three designer ties (in this piece a J. Garcia Landscape, a Statements and a Spinnrad). The ties are then cut and the pieces arranged until the most striking pattern is formed, and then sewn together into a unique, stylish scarf. Lying flat, the finished scarf measures ~16” x ~10”. When worn, it drapes softly just below the bust line. You are purchasing this pictured one-of-a-kind piece. Also shown are the three original ties and their labels. Your purchase will include a signature artist photo card showing both the finished scarf and the original ties. The designer brand labels from all three re-purposed ties are also included as evidence of the unique origin of your scarf.
