Howlite is generally a white stone with veining, or ‘matrix’, in gray or brown. It is named after Henry How, a Canadian chemist, geologist and mineralogist, who discovered it in 1868 in Nova Scotia. Howlite is very porous and can be dyed just about any color (similar to cotton). This combination of turquoise howlite stones and antique silver metal bead caps will work well with just about everything in your wardrobe.

  • Due to the inherent nature of gemstones, each stone is singular in both color and shading. We have selected stones that truly complement each other, and each pair of earrings is unique.
  • Earring Length: ~1.5″
  • The antique-silver metal bead caps have been treated with a protective coating to help prolong their shiny finish.
  • The stainless steel earwires are nickel-free and lead-free.
