What is traditionally called jade is in fact two separate and distinct minerals: jadeite and nephrite. Jade has been treasured for centuries by cultures around the world, including the Meso-Americans and the Chinese, who consider it to be an auspicious gem. Historically green in color, a variety of jade treatments are used to improve the color, luster and stability of jadeite and nephrite. These multi-color stones display shades of green, red and brown.
- Due to the inherent nature of gemstones, each stone is singular in both color and shading. We have selected stones that truly complement each other, and each pair of earrings is unique.
