Aventurine is a form of quartz and a member of the chalcedony family. It is characterized by its translucency and the presence of mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering effect known as ‘aventurescence’. The most common color of aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, pink or gray.
