The word garnet comes from the Middle English word gernet, meaning ‘dark red’, the color that generally comes to mind when we think of garnet. It can, however, be found in an array of colors including orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black and even a colorless variety. These earrings are a deep red, the January birthstone.
